How to farm and process Hamamelis on a large scale?

Looking for ballpark estimates on acreage, ideal growing conditions, needed equipment and facilities. Not looking for fine or thorough details- an outline format is preferred as is first-hand experience.
Please no links or wikipedia.
To be more specific, I am asking about a small to medium farm run by less than 10 people ideally where the only crop was Hamamelis virginiana. Processing would be into extracts and cleaning/drying the wood as for kindling. My concept is rather specific so I’ll consider an answer applying to similar needs for best answer.

Breaking a horse to saddle bags?

I have a eight year old arabain mare. She has never had saddle bags put on her until today. I layed them on her back. When she ran she would buck and throw them off. I have no round pen to put her in. I’ve been thinking about putting the saddle on her and letting her run in the pasture with the bags tied onto the saddle but I don’t want her to hurt herself. Coke classic as penetrating oil and using used motor oil?

1. When hubby was younger he’d use original CocaCola to penetrate rust on farm equipment with better results than with 3-in-1 oil. He’d also use Coke to remove rust from tools. Can a current Coke Classic be used this way with similar results?
2. Can used motor oil be re-used as a lubricating oil (but not as a motor oil) on small equipment?

I was driving through the countryside yesterday and got stuck behind a very tall tractor/piece of farm equipment that was moving down the road. It was very tall, tall enough that an average sized person could stand under it, I remember thinking that you could ride a bike under it or maybe even a little car like a Mini Cooper or something. Four large and obviously tall tires. And it was a little wider than one lane but not by much, it was a little off the side of the road but not much. It had a rectangular shaped body that sat on top but I couldn’t exactly see the operator. What is this piece of machinery called and what is it used for? Thanks!
